Speed Racer: The Videogame Website Goes Live
Posted by predator, Apr 8, 2008 16:38

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that the official website of Speed Racer: The Videogame has gone live. The site, which you can find at www.SpeedRacerTheVideogame.com, plays host to a inside look at the gameplay features, screenshots and official trailers of the futuristic combat racing game.

A segment from the super speedy press release reads:

"Set in a hyper-realistic world where car culture is the culture, players compete in the World Racing League (WRL) against up to 19 other racers across intense, rollercoaster-like race tracks. Speed Racer: The Videogame captures the action, look and feel of the high adrenaline arena racing developed for the movie in a fun-filled game with intense, rollercoaster-like race tracks."

Speed Racer: The Videogame is based on the upcoming film by the Wachowski brothers, who you may remember from a little indie title called The Matrix. The game will be released on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS in May 2008 to coincide with the film’s release in theatres while the Playstation 2 version will launch with the DVD fall 2008.

Be sure to check back with thegamereviews.com for our hands-on preview soon.
