It seems you can’t keep anything hidden these days, thanks to the Internet. Eagle-eyed spotters have stumbled across a job listing for "online gameplay programmer to join the team behind the critically acclaimed AAA titles God of War and God of War II."
Responsibilities of the role include designing, developing, and maintaining network game and tools code, and implementing network functionality at Sony’s Santa Monica studio.
The question is how can they incorporate multiplayer into the God of War series? God of War 1 and 2 have been single player only with no hints throughout each game that there could even be multiplayer. Though, this could be the first hint of where the third installment may be heading. Could there be a new character introduced to help out Kratos? Could this mean there will be online co-op in the game?
All these questions and no answers; be sure to check back to TheGameReviews.com for more information as soon as we get it. For the time being, let us know what you think about this in the forums. Do you want there to be multiplayer in God of War III or would you like them to concentrate all their resources on making the single player an amazing experience?
