Crystal Quest PC Game, Acquired by Novint Falcon, for 3D Touch
Posted by TGRNews, Nov 2, 2007 14:50

The rights for the PC version of Crystal Quest from Stainless Games, has been acquired by Novint Technologies, Inc. , for its 3D touch. Stainless has also licensed the game to Xbox 360 Live Arcade, Windows Vista and various Mobile platforms.

Tom Anderson, Novint CEO remarked, "Crystal Quest is a true classic that we’re excited to add to the Falcon game line-up. As the very first color title released for the Mac, it holds a solid place in history, so it’s fitting that it incorporates our 3D touch technology that takes gaming to a new level."

Stainless will add Novint’s patented 3D touch technology to the fan favorite, which has updated graphics, enhanced special effects, and exciting new gameplay features. Using the Falcon, players feel momentum and inertia, weapon blasts, and impacts with enemies and other objects as they pilot a ship through 60 waves of frantic action, collecting crystals in each wave.

Patrick Buckland, CEO of Stainless’ and Crystal Quest creator, noted "We’re delighted to be working with Novint, a company that shares our passion for pushing the boundaries of modern gaming. The Falcon version of Crystal Quest adds a new level of excitement and intensity to the game."

Crystal Quest will be available for download from N VeNT, Novint’s interface to Falcon games, information, software updates, unique content, and community. The Novint Falcon bundle, which includes Newton’s Monkey Business (24 minigames) and the Feelin’ It: Sports Pack, is available for $239 at www.novintfalcon.com, J&R Music, and at CompUSA stores nationwide.

Novint (NVNT) develops, markets, and licenses technology that adds high- fidelity interactive 3D touch to computing.

Stainless Games is a privately owned UK based developer specializing in producing cutting edge entertainment software on next-gen and download platforms.
