Logitech Wireless Headset F540 for PS3, Xbox 360

Voice chat that is universal to the Xbox 360 and PS3 with the added bonus of working with audio sources with 3.5 mm or RCA audio out.logitech-wireless-headset-f540

Battery Life: Easily ran for about 9.5 Hours of play and talk time (recharging is done via a mini USB while gaming or not)
* Note a longer mini USB cable would have been a better option

Killer Headset and Chat: You get detailed stereo sound for game audio plus voice chat for your PS3™ and Xbox 360® through one headset. There is an adjustable headband with noise isolation ear pads. The mic is adjustable and can be flipped upwards to turn off. If the mic is muted there is also a red led light that let’s you know you are muted. In addition there are volume and chat controls built into the headset for convenience.

*Note After about 4 hours your ears may start to hurt a little bit even though the headset is designed for excellent comfort. Take a break after a few hours with these baby’s on.

Setup: There is a fairly comprehensive manual that comes with the headset.

Whats is in the Box?

  • Headset

  • RCA audio cable
  • 2.5 mm cable for Xbox 360® voice audio
  • Mini-USB cable for PS3™ voice audio

Bottom Line:

I think the F540 would be my first choice though purely for the convenience in connectivity options. Retailing at $149.99 the headset is a good choice for gamers with multiple consoles or just a pure love for wireless surround sound.
Ben says ” A Versatile, gaming headset for our times” Try it.
*Editors note: TheGameReviews.com was provided with a review unit for review purposes. Games and voice were tested on the Xbox 360 and PS 3 for about 3 weeks.
