Let’s Rock Up This World Rock Band Review

Lets rock up this world!

Rock Band [Xbox 360]

This game is incredibly awesome if you love rock. Before I say anything, this game is probably only going to be the first and it is similar to Dance Dance Revolution [DDR], but not even close to how exhilarating.

Graphics: 7

Well, this game for its first is truly amazing. With the graphics you can’t really say anything because there will most likely be a second one. Now when you are playing the game, they have your players in the background. The graphics for it are amazing and technically everything is easy to understand.

Percentage and Awards: 10

This has not come out for Play station 2, but when it does I am going to definitely get it. With the percentage and awards, at the end of the song it tells you a percentage of what you did and it may give you an award. For instance, if you played the guitar and got a perfect solo, it would say awesome or perfect solo or something like that. If you somehow died out from not doing to well and someone brought you back, it would say survivor or spirited survivor depending on how many times you lost. Also, you can be known as Most Energy, or something. The percentage depends on the amount of beats per minute that I’m assuming. So depending on how many beats in the song depend on the percentage. Of course, you can not miss one if you want 100%.

Songs: 8

I am technically not a rocker, but more of a rapper. I grew up listening to classic rock such as Elton John, The Beatles, The Beegees, etc. They have a large variety of songs in it. Here’s a small list of some songs: I Think I’m Paranoid by Garbage; (Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult; In Bloom by Nirvana; Creep by Radiohead; Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Enter Sandman by Metallica. If you like some of the songs above, then I recommend getting it because this game is truly amazing.

About Instruments: 9

Guitar

Depending on what instrument you are using, it all depends. The guitar to me is the second easiest out of the four. If you played Guitar Hero, then you will be a pro at this instrument, and if you are not musically inclined, no worries, it’s nothing like a real guitar. I am on the computer a plethora of time, but I do play sports, and my friends think that I’m so impressive at it because I’m always typing. In my opinion, you should let someone who has fast fingers to because this is the easiest way to save someone using overdrive.

Microphone

This is the easiest and simplest instrument of all them. First of all, you just sing and hit the microphone for extra points. Second of all, you don’t really have to sing, but you just have to get the pitch right. If you do that, then you will be a pro. This could be hard to get overdrive on it.

Drums

Please, don’t get me started on the drums! On easy this is like nothing, but when it comes to going onto hard, it can stress you out. There is this step on the bottom and whenever an orange thread comes up, you have to push it down. It may seem easy, but if you have to do it after every other note after going 2 minutes, it gets harder.

Bass

I’ve heard this is exactly like the guitar, but it is deeper. I haven’t tried it yet, but it is probably going to be the exact same thing, but deeper sound.

Replay Value: 10

With this game, you can play over and over again. For instance, there are four levels, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert. If you pass one level, then keep going to the next one until you master it. Plus, the songs can be repeated. Another cool feature is that you have fans. Every time you complete a song, you get a certain amount of fans. The longer the amount of songs and bigger the gig is, the more fans you receive, but on the downside is that you can also lose fans. If you fail a song, depending on how far you are into it, which decides how many fans you lose. If you are only 31% into it, you lose more fans than if you’re just 76%. Earn more money and change the looks of your players. Plus, you can go online and play against other band which is pretty cool.

Overall: 8.8

This is an awesome and spectacular game. You can play it over and over again without getting tired of it, mentally, but it can wear you out physically.
