The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion

Oblivion FAQ /DLC Guide

Oblivion is a first person RPG set in the world of Cyrodiil. In Oblivion you can create custom characters, make and use spells, make potions, find armors, fight creatures, join guilds, and ANYTHING you want to do. The freedom in Oblivion is the highest selling point. Below are some “Pro’s” and “Con’s” of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:

“Pro’s”

You can create a character from 10 races and customize each with eye color, face structure, age, hair style and color, and skin tone.

You can mix potions with alchemical equipment, with various ingredients in nature and in shops.

You can level up your character and watch the world around you level up as well. (I.e. when you are level 10 you will fight people appropriate to that level)

You can buy and create custom spells that are in the schools of Destruction, Alteration, Mysticism, Conjuration, Restoration, and Illusion.

You can be an Assassin type character, a Mage type, a Thief, a Bard, a Salesman, a Hero, anything you want!

There are 4 in game guilds that require no DLC, these are the Thieves Guild, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and the Dark Brotherhood.(Although not a guild, obtaining vampirism is possible in the game)

There are many weapons, armor, clothing, and robes available for the player. These include Swords, Maces, Axes, and Bows.

You can own houses to store various Jewelry and items that you find during your expedition.

You can continue to play Oblivion even after you beat the Main Questline.

Constant DLC comes out for Oblivion adding new locations, guilds, armor, weapons, spells, enemies, any much more!

Oblivion has 200+ hours for most players and you can do whatever you please in the game.

“Con’s”

In Oblivion, there are many glitches, but most are very petty and some help you.

Oblivion can unhealthily control you life…. 😉

Oblivion is a Medieval era game, if you’re not into that style, then this isn’t a game for you.
